The Beta PhD course ‘Research Perspectives of Operations Management’ has been revised.

With the aim of bringing together PhD students working in the field of OML, Beta will organize a yearly event where networking and learning from each other’s knowledge and experiences are central. Every year, the event will offer a substantive program to be organized by a professor in the field of OML and will end with a networking drink and dinner. PhD students who are joining the event will be granted 0.5 ECTS and since every edition will contain a different substantive program, participation in different editions of the event is possible.

On Wednesday April 10, 2019 the first edition of the event took place at Kontakt der Kontinenten in Soesterberg. During this first edition, prof.dr.ir. Erwin Hans from Twente University did the kick of the event at 16:00 with a lecture on ‘publication strategies’, followed by joint dinner and a social event. Afterwards, there was the opportunity to talk with other PhD students during a networking drink at the bar.
