Currently, the court experiences long queues and waiting times. Hence, the litigant don’t know what to expect. Furthermore, employees experience high and unbalanced workloads. That’s why an alignment between supply and demand is desirable. Due to expected resemblances in planning and scheduling problems between the court and e.g. the healthcare sector, we think it is worthy to conduct research to the applicability of operation research and management methods for solving and optimizing those problems.
