Micro Hub Solutions for City Logistics

Start Date Research: 09/01/2021
Always transportation problems, especially the pickup and delivery problem in a city environment, involve congestion and environmental issues. In this research, we will focus on finding practical solutions for PDP based on the Smart Micro hubs concept to move toward a more efficient and sustainable mobility system. Different strategies are supposed to implement this concept which varies by stochastic/deterministic attitude, the combination of vehicles, mobility and etc. We are planning to find the optimum solution by developing mathematical models based on the solid scientific literature of our research problem. Briefly, this project’s contribution will be to develop efficient urban logistics systems based on micropubs with a heterogeneous fleet.
